Who is Pleasant Valley Hops?
We started in Prince Edward County over 19 years ago, helping build the new-at-the-time wine industry , and are excited to do the same with the craft brewing industry. The scene is exploding across Ontario, and we're thrilled to see the variety and innovation local brewers are offering.
Our family has deep roots in Prince Edward County both personally and professionally. Catherine's family has been farming here since United Empire Loyalist pioneers settled the area. The Ramirez side is a more recent addition, but Edgar has literally had his hands in the earth for years nurturing grapes and vineyards here in Prince Edward County. He has built his reputation as the go-to guy for all things grape and hop. We love a crisp, hoppy beer and are excited about reviving the hop legacy in the County. With a number of varieties in the ground, we are open to partnerships with craft brewers and are working closely with them to develop local flavours.
